Job Summary

Our client in the Medical Supplies industry is seeking a qualified and professional Pharmacist to support the safe, compliant, and effective management of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper product handling, storage, inventory control, regulatory compliance, documentation, and providing professional pharmaceutical guidance to customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure pharmaceutical products and medical supplies are properly handled, stored, and distributed in accordance with required standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical products, stock movements, batches, expiry dates, and related documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize expiries, shortages, and losses.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Support regulatory documentation, product registration, licensing, and renewals where required.
  • Inspect incoming pharmaceutical and medical products to ensure appropriate documentation, condition, and storage requirements.
  • Provide accurate pharmaceutical and product information to customers, healthcare professionals, and internal teams.
  • Support the sales team with technical product knowledge and professional guidance when required.
  • Monitor storage conditions and ensure pharmaceutical products, laboratory reagents, chemicals, and medical supplies are appropriately maintained.
  • Assist with stocktaking, inventory reconciliation, and preparation of relevant reports.
  • Report and document product quality concerns, damaged products, expired stock, or other pharmaceutical issues.
  • Maintain high standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Perform other related duties assigned in support of the company’s operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania and hold a valid practicing licence.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience as a Pharmacist.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical distribution, medical supplies, healthcare products, or a related environment will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical supplies, proper storage, handling, and inventory management.
  • Good understanding of relevant pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong documentation, record keeping, inventory management, and reporting skills.
  • High level of professional integrity, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Good command of English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a fast paced environment.
