Background

ITM Tanzania is seeking a skilled Motor Grader Operator to join their Operations / Land Development department. This role reports to the Bush Clearing / Land Development Supervisor.

Job Purpose

Operate motor graders to level, shape, and maintain roads, fields, and earthworks according to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate grader for road construction, leveling, ditching, and camber formation.
• Perform daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance.
• Follow survey markers and grade stakes accurately.
• Report mechanical faults promptly.
• Maintain daily machine logs (hours, fuel, work done).
• Adhere to all safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid grader operator certification/license.
• 3+ years' experience operating motor graders, preferably in agriculture/construction.

Skills & Competencies

• Precision grading and leveling
• Machine care and basic maintenance
• Ability to read grade stakes
• Safety awareness

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: professional certificate
