Main Responsibilities

  • Implement routine Preventive Maintenance checks, including vibration and temperature inspections on designated rotating equipment, and accurately log all readings.
  • Repair and maintain static equipment, including valves, pipework, pressure vessels, and tanks.
  • Execute all planned mechanical activities while strictly adhering to required safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct basic Root Cause Analysis for equipment, identifying and reporting issues promptly.
  • Ensure full compliance with standards, tolerances, and fits, applying sound engineering practices to all tasks, both on-site and occasionally in contractor workshops.
  • Report on resource and time usage, job scope expansions, rework, or deferred maintenance, ensuring all tasks and activities are logged and updated.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in the manufacturing/extractive industries
  • Technical Skills:
    • Mechanical upgrading skills (Fitter, Welding, and Turning)
    • Belt splicing technology (cold repair, hot splicing, pulley lagging, and belt alignment)
    • Reading technical and specification sheets
    • Hands-on equipment experience
  • Behavioral Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
