About the job

The Material Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of telecom project materials, ensuring efficient planning, sourcing, coordination, and control of equipment and spare parts in line with standards, customer requirements, and project delivery models. The role ensures that all materials are available, correctly allocated, and delivered on time to support seamless network rollout and deployment activities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for material supplier selection to ensure that it meets customer & Nokia standard requirements. It should be most competitive solution aligned with Deploy delivery model and guidance
  • Accountable for demand supply implementation for material towards subcon in consultation with project team
  • Accountable for material management including spare parts aligned with NOKIA/Deploy standard processes and customer scope and contract. It may cover coordination to use of customer-supplied materials, including installed base, when needed
  • Responsible for support of PM and ROM in project preparation & planning, by providing material guidelines and specifications, and in project execution phase for all material topics
  • Responsible to support category manager and procurement team for evaluation and selection of subcon and to initiate creation of new Sales Items to fill portfolio gaps when necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field with 5+ years of experience in material management, telecom logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience in managing telecom project materials, spare parts, supplier coordination, and inventory control within network deployment or rollout environments.
  • Strong experience in material supplier evaluation and selection, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, Nokia standards, quality expectations, and cost competitiveness.
  • Ability to manage material demand and supply planning for subcontractors in coordination with project and rollout teams.
  • Experience in handling end-to-end material management processes, including warehousing, inventory tracking, spare parts management, and customer-supplied materials.
  • Strong capability in supporting Project Managers (PM) and Rollout Managers (ROM) during project planning and execution by providing material specifications, planning support, and logistics coordination
