Background

Stanbic Bank Tanzania is seeking qualified and experienced professionals to fill the position of Manager, Management Information Systems based in Dar es Salaam. The bank is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual capable of supporting the Finance function through the delivery of accurate management information, financial analytics, business intelligence solutions, and automated reporting systems.

The Manager, Management Information Systems will be responsible for developing and maintaining management reports, dashboards, analytical models, and data solutions that support strategic decision-making, business performance monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving financial reporting efficiency and supporting data-driven business operations within the bank.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance function through accurate and timely management information reporting
• Develop and maintain management reports and financial dashboards
• Design analytical models and business intelligence solutions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and business performance monitoring activities
• Provide financial analytics and business insights to support decision-making
• Automate reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency
• Manage and analyze large datasets from multiple source systems
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
• Interpret financial and operational data to support business strategy
• Prepare accurate performance and management reports
• Support risk reporting, governance, and compliance initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve data quality and reporting standards
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of reporting systems and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent
• Certification in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Project Management is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in Finance MIS, Financial Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Performance Reporting, or related field
• Experience within the banking or financial services industry is an added advantage
• Experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, dashboard development, and data analysis
• Proven experience working with large datasets and multiple source systems
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Knowledge of compliance, governance, and risk management principles
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to generate insights and support strategic business initiatives
