Mixx by Yas is hiring an experienced MFS program director (core wallet transformation) to lead a major core wallet transformation program in Dar es Salaam.

This role is suited for a senior fintech, payments, mobile money, or digital banking professional with strong experience in program delivery, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, migration execution, regulatory compliance, and large-scale digital transformation.

Core responsibilities

The MFS program director will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of the core wallet transformation program, ensuring successful execution, governance, and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the core wallet transformation program, ensuring roadmap execution, milestone achievement, and strategic alignment.
  • Coordinate all migration workstreams, including product, compliance, operations, technical integration, data migration, and customer readiness.
  • Manage cross-functional teams across engineering, product, operations, compliance, vendors, and group functions to ensure integrated delivery.
  • Establish governance structures, executive reporting, and stakeholder coordination to drive decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Act as the key liaison between leadership, technology teams, vendors, partners, and customers throughout the transformation program.
  • Oversee Huawei Core Wallet and third-party vendor performance, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and operational readiness.
  • Lead migration and cutover execution, including testing, rehearsals, go-live coordination, and seamless customer transition.
  • Identify and mitigate program, operational, cybersecurity, and customer-impact risks while ensuring regulatory and audit compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with fintech and mobile money regulations, including PCI DSS, AML, KYC, GDPR, and GSMA standards.
  • Drive operational excellence through KPI monitoring, transaction efficiency, reconciliation, post-migration support, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee wallet modernization initiatives, including cloud-native architecture, APIs, integrations, scalability, performance, and security optimization.
  • Lead change management, communication, and capability-building initiatives to enhance adoption, customer experience, and business growth.
