About the Role
We are looking to hire experienced journalists or media agencies to lead storytelling, documentation, and reporting, ideally for the health, development, or non-profit sector, with a strong portfolio across written features, photography, and video.
Responsibilities
- Lead storytelling, documentation, and reporting, ideally for the health, development, or non-profit sector.
- Ensure ethical field documentation and consent, including work involving vulnerable groups such as mothers and newborns.
- Perform strong narrative and investigative reporting.
- Translate complex health and programmatic work into compelling public-interest stories.
Requirements
- Demonstrable body of work leading storytelling, documentation, and reporting, ideally for the health, development, or non-profit sector.
- A strong portfolio across written features, photography, and video.
- Ethical field documentation and consent, including work involving vulnerable groups such as mothers and newborns.
- Strong narrative and investigative reporting.
- Ability to translate complex health and programmatic work into compelling public-interest stories.
- Track record of published or broadcast work with reputable outlets.
- At least four (4) years of experience.
- Prior experience with major international media outlets or leading Tanzanian media houses (advantage).
