About the Role

We are looking to hire experienced journalists or media agencies to lead storytelling, documentation, and reporting, ideally for the health, development, or non-profit sector, with a strong portfolio across written features, photography, and video.

Responsibilities

  • Lead storytelling, documentation, and reporting, ideally for the health, development, or non-profit sector.
  • Ensure ethical field documentation and consent, including work involving vulnerable groups such as mothers and newborns.
  • Perform strong narrative and investigative reporting.
  • Translate complex health and programmatic work into compelling public-interest stories.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable body of work leading storytelling, documentation, and reporting, ideally for the health, development, or non-profit sector.
  • A strong portfolio across written features, photography, and video.
  • Ethical field documentation and consent, including work involving vulnerable groups such as mothers and newborns.
  • Strong narrative and investigative reporting.
  • Ability to translate complex health and programmatic work into compelling public-interest stories.
  • Track record of published or broadcast work with reputable outlets.
  • At least four (4) years of experience.
  • Prior experience with major international media outlets or leading Tanzanian media houses (advantage).
