About Fides Tanzania Ltd

Fides Tanzania Ltd is a flower – cutting Company located near Tengeru, approximately 17 km from Arusha town.

It is a subsidiary of Dümmen Orange – a globally recognized leader in breeding and supplying cut flowers, potted lants, bedding plants and perennials.

Fides Tanzania plays a role in the horticultural export sector, contributing to ornamental plants and flower cuttings from the northern Tanzania.

Position Details:

Reports to: Agronomy Manager

Duty station: Arusha

Key Responsibilities:

• – Ensure consistent water supply and monitor silo levels.
• – Oversee water disinfection systems (Chlorine & H₂O₂) and verify ppm levels.
• – Conduct water quality checks, germ counts, and take corrective action.
• – Program and adjust irrigation computer settings based on crop needs and climate.
• – Monitor drip vs. leach performance and adjust irrigation strategies.
• – Supervise maintenance of pumps, filters, valves, solenoids, and pipelines.
• – Accurately mix fertilizers, monitor EC/pH, and maintain fertigation records.
• – Report on water quality, irrigation performance, and system status.

Qualifications:

• – Diploma or Degree in Irrigation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or related field.
• – Graduated between 2023 – 2025.
• – Strong interest in automated irrigation systems.
• – Understanding of water quality analysis and distribution networks.
• – Hands-on mentality with practical problem-solving skills.
• – Interest in crop cultivation and crop water needs.
