ABOUT THE ROLE

The Internal Auditor will support the execution of audit assignments, evaluate financial and operational processes, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and contribute to strengthening internal controls and operational efficiency.

• Assist in planning and execution of internal audit assignments.
• Conduct fieldwork, testing of controls, and data analysis.
• Evaluate financial records and operational processes.
• Identify control weaknesses, non-compliance, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare audit findings and support report preparation.
• Follow up on implementation of corrective actions.
• Support compliance with internal policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Adhere to HSSEQ policies and all audit standards.
• Collaborate with departments and support audit logistics.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Progress toward a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) is an added advantage.
• 1-3 years in internal auditing, external auditing, or general accounting roles.
• Familiarity with Tanzanian accounting standards and basic regulatory requirements.
• Experience in reviewing financial transactions and understanding audit processes.
• Basic knowledge of audit software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
