The company is currently inviting qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Instrumentation Technician based in Bagamoyo. This opportunity is suitable for technically skilled professionals with experience in instrumentation systems, industrial automation, SCADA/PLC systems, and equipment maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing instrumentation and control systems used within the company’s industrial operations. The role involves supporting automation systems, ensuring accurate instrument performance, and maintaining reliable operation of plant control systems and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting electronic, pneumatic, and electromechanical issues within instrumentation systems
- Repairing or replacing faulty components and equipment to maintain operational efficiency
- Installing, mounting, wiring, and programming field instruments and control systems using technical schematics and blueprints
- Supporting optimization and performance improvement of SCADA and PLC systems in collaboration with processing teams
- Calibrating instruments, gauges, and meters to ensure compliance with required tolerance standards
- Operating diagnostic devices such as multimeters, calibrators, and other testing equipment effectively
- Performing any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of practical work experience in instrumentation or related technical roles
- Prior experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments will be an added advantage
- Strong understanding of SCADA systems, PLC programming, instrumentation devices, and calibration procedures
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system blueprints
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain technical reports and maintenance documentation accurately
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
General Conditions
- The position is full-time and based in Bagamoyo, Tanzania
- Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
