The EACOP system is divided into three components, above ground installations (AGIs), pipelines and offshore storage terminals (MST).The above ground installation (AGI) consists of 6 pumping stations (PS-1 to PS-6) and 2 pressure reducing stations (PRS-1 and PRS-2) along the pipeline route.

The pipeline consists of 1,443 kilometers of 24-inch continuous heated export pipelines, connecting the Kabaale hub pumping station (PS-1) in the Hoima region of Uganda and the Tanga region storage reservoir in Tanzania . The pipeline includes all intermediate valve chambers , electric heat tracing (EHT) systems, high voltage distribution (HV) and fiber optic (FO) cables and related equipment, as well as the EHT substation.

Job Description: 

  1. Assist to oversee all HR/IR related matters.
  2. Implement LMP at CPP sites.
  3. Recruitment and onboarding process
  4. Participate proactively in local and expatriate staff consultative committees;  schedule and organize
  5. meetings, research and deliver responses to requests/queries received,  complete the Minutes of Meetings (MOMs) and circulate to participants.
  6. Provide training to employees.
  7. Conduct disciplinary actions.
  8. Maintaining employee records and preparation of HR/IR reports.
  9. Monitoring employee performance.
  10. Monitor sub-contractor HR/IR performances
  11. Ensure CVs are collected from the lockbox placed at the village offices during  the recruitment processes.
  12. Pension and benefit administration for the local labours.
  13. Responsible (jointly) for the Local Employment Register.
  14. Look after the health, safety and welfare of all employees and arrange pre medical checkups for employees.
  15. Collaborate with EACOP IRS regarding HR/IR related issues.
  16. Maintain an updated HR/IR Tracker and follow issues to conclusion.

Job Requirements: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of HR/IR-related work experience.
  3. Proven experience in HR/IR management, ideally in construction or  project environments.
  4. Familiarity with the Labour Act and its application in project environments. Strong knowledge of grievance resolution, recruitment, and industrial  relations.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
