Job Summary

The Finance Officer supports the maintenance of MSI Tanzania’s general ledger in compliance with global and organizational financial policies, ensuring timely and reliable management reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

  • Maintain and update the SUN accounting system and general ledger.
  • Process supplier payments, receivables, staff imprests, and expense claims.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations, including bank, supplier, debtor, and staff accounts.
  • Prepare monthly financial/cost-centre reports and weekly cash flow forecasts.
  • Manage daily banking, statutory obligations, fixed asset registers, and inventory stock counts.
  • Assist with donor reporting and internal/external audits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial record management, data entry, and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of withholding tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
