Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical systems and components within the 20MW solar project. This includes inverters, transformers, switchgear, cabling, and protection systems, ensuring compliance with design standards and reliable plant operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including DC strings, AC cabling, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Verify electrical connections, insulation resistance, and system grounding.
  • Supervise testing, pre-commissioning, and energization of electrical components.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for proper cable routing and equipment placement.
  • Conduct quality checks and prepare inspection and test reports (ITRs).
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and propose engineering solutions during installation.
  • Manage as-built documentation, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and commissioning records.
  • Support final performance testing and system handover to the commissioning team.
  • Enforce site safety procedures and electrical work-permit systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in utility-scale solar or power-plant electrical works.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, protection schemes, and grid interconnection.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, PVsyst, and relevant electrical design tools.
  • Excellent coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
