SUMMARY
An operations manager works as the right person to the General Manager Customer Facing operations ensuring all Leading Clients are well serviced, engaged and supported.
They will also be responsible for driving overall business growth in new territories / markets by managing business performance objectives for the company's businesses. They will help develop, review and implement the business strategy together with local management and relevant stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education requirements
- Degree in business management or related field, or significant (up to 5years) of work experience at the Managerial level for manufacturing Industry
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in relevant areas which uses PPEs of work such as: Mining, Construction, Oil & Gas, Trade & Logistics and Operations Management (experience in a business with manufacturing plant will be added advantage)
- Knowledge of Basic Business Management principles and evidence of execution will be Key
Requirements:
- Key Account management with effective networking skills
- Knowledge of SOP, ERP & Internal Systems
- Auditing skills &
- Knowledge of statistical tools (Excel, Data Sheets)
- Ability to quickly learn new things and sort out multitude of information
- Evidenced Capacity to monitor, follow up, Close Sales with potential clients 7. Passion for Customer Satisfaction
- Language and Computer Skills Fluent in English and Kiswahili, Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, ERP systems
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate business strategy into pragmatic action plans which deliver value to shareholders 2. Plan, Supervise and manage effective execution of Business Strategy
- Scout for New Operators within the market who would be clients on PPEs and Uniforms and bring them onboard with help of business
- Analyze market potential and guide the business on go-to-market model by developing competitive product positioning and pricing strategies across client segments 5. Develop new services/products and concepts for the existing market segments by reviewing other potential areas the business can operate in
- Monitor market for the development of new technologies and trends- ensure Cherry remains ahead of the curve and the Thought leader in matters PPE and Garments 7. Support GM in Identifying and help in developing high potential employees for overall growth of business performance
- Draft, negotiate and secure contracts for local and international clients
- Promote the image, capability and integrity of the company to the clients 10. Accountable for any claim that may arise from clients, manage pre- and post-contract issues arising.
- Support GM in supervising and executing TOP Clients Business by Ensuring the best quality of execution is achieved at all times through having weekly reports and KPIs tracking for these clients.
- Operate to the highest standards of integrity, ethics, in accordance with the company's code of Business Conduct.
