The Assistant Workshop Manager position supports the Workshop Manager in coordinating daily workshop operations, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth production activities. The role also serves as a key communication link between Chinese management and local employees, ensuring effective coordination, clear information flow, and proper execution of workshop objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Workshop Manager in supervising workshop employees and daily operations
  • Coordinate production activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
  • Support implementation of company policies and operational procedures
  • Monitor workshop performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate communication between Chinese management and local employees
  • Provide translation support when required
  • Coordinate information flow between management and workshop teams
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Assist in preparing operational and production reports
  • Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and workplace compliance
  • Track performance and provide feedback to management
  • Support employee engagement and workplace discipline
  • Learn production processes and manufacturing technologies
  • Develop technical and leadership skills in workshop management
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by the Workshop Manager

Qualifications Required

  • Ability to communicate in Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good coordination and organizational abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • Previous supervisory or team coordination experience
  • Knowledge of industrial operations and production processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective cross-cultural communication abilities
  • Leadership and management potential
  • High learning agility and adaptability to manufacturing environments
