ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER
Job Summary
The Assistant Nursing Officer will provide professional nursing care to patients while supporting the nursing team in maintaining high standards of patient safety, comfort, hygiene, and clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and identify their nursing-care needs.
- Provide nursing care according to established clinical standards and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
- Maintain accurate nursing and patient-care records.
- Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals during procedures.
- Provide wound care, patient hygiene, and other appropriate nursing interventions.
- Educate patients and families on treatment, medication, hygiene, and health promotion.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patients' conditions.
- Maintain infection-prevention and control standards.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of medical equipment and supplies.
- Support patient discharge and follow-up procedures.
- Promote compassionate and respectful patient care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant nursing qualification recognised by the appropriate regulatory authority.
- Valid professional registration and practising licence.
- Previous clinical experience is an advantage.
- Good clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, responsible, and attentive to patient needs.
- Provide medical care as a Medical Doctor.
- Assist patients with nursing care as an Assistant Nursing Officer.
- Provide support in patient care as a Medical Attendant.
- Perform diagnostic imaging as a Radiographer.
- Conduct laboratory tests as a Laboratory Assistant.
- Examine eyes and prescribe vision correction as an Optometrist.
