JOB DETAILS:

Background

ITM Tanzania is seeking a Workshop Helper to provide general support in the workshop, including oil changes, greasing, cleaning, and handling parts and tools. This role is part of the Workshop / Maintenance department and reports to the Senior Mechanic / Workshop Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, greasing, and lubrication duties as directed.
• Assist mechanics with basic repairs and machine servicing.
• Clean machines, tools, and workshop floors.
• Collect, deliver, and organize spare parts and tools.
• Dispose of waste oil and materials in line with environmental rules.
• Assist in loading/offloading parts and equipment.
• Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Basic education (primary/secondary).
• Prior experience in a workshop or garage is an advantage.
• No formal certification required; on-the-job training provided.
