About the job

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to promote and sell Japanese imported vehicles in the Tanzanian market. The role focuses on identifying potential customers, managing the full sales cycle and building long-term client relationships to drive consistent revenue growth in a competitive automotive market

Responsibilities

  • Identifying new business opportunities, engaging with individual buyers, car dealers and corporate clients
  • Advising customers on available vehicle options, pricing, financing possibilities and import specifications
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve monthly and quarterly targets
  • Cultivate long-term relationships by understanding client needs, addressing objections, and positioning solutions effectively.
  • Generate leads through walk-ins, referrals, social media, and digital platforms
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts aligned with client requirements.
  • Regular market intelligence gathering on competitor pricing, customer preferences, and emerging trends in the automotive import sector
  • Close sales deals and ensure all agreements are properly documented
  • Provide regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and performance feedback

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in automotive, import/export, or related trading sector (2-3 years of experience)
  • Strong understanding of vehicle market dynamics in Tanzania is an added advantage
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment
  • Proficiency in digital sales tools and social media marketing is an advantage
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented personality
