The successful candidate will provide site-wide Human Resources service support, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services across all departments. The role supports operational effectiveness through sound HR systems, accurate workforce data, strong employee relations, and full compliance with Company policies and Tanzanian labour legislation.
Key Responsibilities
✔ HR Service Delivery & Coordination
Coordinate the delivery of the HR services across all departments, including workforce planning, recruitment and selection, policies and procedures, performance management, training and development, remuneration, safety coordination, and internal communication. Provide HR advisory support to ensure consistent application of HR policies at site level.
✔ Employee & Labour Relations
Support the administration of employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes, employee engagement initiatives, and interpretation of employment policies, in compliance with Tanzanian labour legislation and Company procedures.
✔ HR Systems & Records Management
Administer HR systems and records (manual and electronic), including personal files, establishment records, recruitment documentation, and workforce data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
✔ HR Reporting, Compliance & Audits
Prepare Human Resources operational reports, respond to audit queries, and generate management reports as required. Ensure compliance with applicable statutory obligations relating to employment records and workforce administration.
✔ Remuneration & Benefits Support
Support the HR Manager in remuneration and benefits administration, including compilation of salary data and preparation of salary review documentation in line with approved salary survey reports and authorised mandates.
✔ General HR Support
Undertake any other duties as may be assigned in furtherance of the objectives of the Human Resources Department and the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum Requirements
✔ bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or Law
✔ 5+ years’ working experience in HR management in a large-scale operation, preferably in the mining and extractive industry
Skills & Competencies
✔ Sound knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws.
✔ Strong understanding of HR best practices within the Tanzanian mining industry context
