Purpose of the Job
The Relationship Officer supports the effective management of the corporate credit portfolio by maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer and facility information, monitoring compliance with approved facility terms, and ensuring adherence to KYC, AML, regulatory, and security documentation requirements. The role contributes to strong risk management, operational discipline, and high-quality customer service in line with the Bank's standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare initial credit requests by assessing financial statements, cash flows, repayment capacity, business performance, and other relevant credit information for corporate clients.
- Prepare credit applications for renewals, amendments, and new facility proposals in line with the Bank's credit policy under the guidance of the Assistant Relationship Manager.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and non-financial information for assigned corporate loan accounts, including covenant tracking, facility spreads, repayment schedules, and periodic reporting requirements.
- Monitor customer and facility compliance with approved terms and conditions, escalating exceptions, breaches, or overdue documentation for corrective action.
- Ensure full compliance with KYC, AML, sanctions screening, and other regulatory requirements by maintaining complete customer records and supporting timely remediation of compliance gaps.
- Conduct periodic and annual reviews of security documentation for corporate accounts to confirm completeness, validity, and alignment with approved facility structures.
- Support Relationship Managers in portfolio administration, client follow-ups, document collection, and resolution of customer service matters.
- Prepare, update, and maintain portfolio reports, call notes, compliance trackers, and other records required for effective relationship and credit monitoring.
- Coordinate with Credit, Legal, Operations, Trade Finance, Risk, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of portfolio-related activities.
- Deliver customer service in line with the Bank's mission, values, and service standards.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the role's purpose and departmental objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- One to two years of relevant experience in relationship management support, credit administration, portfolio monitoring, or corporate banking operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

- Good understanding of banking policies, credit processes, portfolio administration, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks, including KYC and AML.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to maintain accurate records while monitoring facility conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with customers, Relationship Managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage priorities, and contribute to a customer-focused and risk-aware team environment.
- High level of integrity, accountability, self-motivation, and confidentiality in handling customer and portfolio information.
