Main Responsibilities
- Implement routine Preventive Maintenance checks, including vibration and temperature inspections on designated rotating equipment, and accurately log all readings.
- Repair and maintain static equipment, including valves, pipework, pressure vessels, and tanks.
- Execute all planned mechanical activities while strictly adhering to required safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and conduct basic Root Cause Analysis for equipment, identifying and reporting issues promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with standards, tolerances, and fits, applying sound engineering practices to all tasks, both on-site and occasionally in contractor workshops.
- Report on resource and time usage, job scope expansions, rework, or deferred maintenance, ensuring all tasks and activities are logged and updated.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in the manufacturing/extractive industries
- Technical Skills:
- Mechanical upgrading skills (Fitter, Welding, and Turning)
- Belt splicing technology (cold repair, hot splicing, pulley lagging, and belt alignment)
- Reading technical and specification sheets
- Hands-on equipment experience
- Behavioral Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
