About the Role
CVPeople Tanzania is seeking a visionary, entrepreneurial Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and overall management for a prominent Fintech Association in Tanzania. The ED will serve as the primary industry spokesperson, driving ecosystem scaling, policy advocacy, membership engagement, donor fundraising, and high-level regulatory partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Ecosystem Building: Execute growth strategies to position the association as the leading fintech voice in Tanzania; advise the Board on industry trends.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Relations: Act as primary liaison with the Bank of Tanzania, government ministries, development finance institutions, and investors.
Resource Mobilization & Partnerships: Implement fundraising initiatives, secure grants/sponsorships, and build sustainable revenue models.
Organizational Operations & Governance: Oversee financial budgeting, staff supervision, program execution, and member retention strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5–8 years of progressive executive/leadership experience in fintech, financial services, digital finance, or development ecosystems.
- Strong track record in fundraising, donor stewardship, policy advocacy, and multi-stakeholder management.
