JOB DETAILS:

BACKHOE OPERATOR – AGRICULTURE

Job Purpose

To operate backhoe loaders for agricultural land development, drainage, trenching, material handling and farm infrastructure activities.

Key Duties

• Excavate trenches and drainage channels.
• Clear and prepare land.
• Load and move soil.
• Support farm infrastructure construction.
• Inspect equipment before operation.
• Conduct basic maintenance.
• Maintain operating records.
• Follow safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Appropriate heavy-equipment certification.
• Relevant backhoe experience.

31. TRUCK DRIVER – AGRICULTURE

Job Purpose

To transport agricultural inputs, produce, equipment, soil and other materials safely and efficiently between farm sites and designated locations.

Key Duties

• Conduct vehicle inspections.
• Load and secure agricultural materials.
• Transport goods safely.
• Maintain trip and fuel records.
• Observe traffic regulations.
• Coordinate with farm supervisors.
• Report vehicle defects and incidents.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Support loading and unloading when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid appropriate driving licence.
• Relevant commercial driving experience.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
