Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role supports budgeting, auditing, tax filing, and financial analysis to aid management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax laws.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with other departments on financial matters.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred (or in progress).
  • Experience: [2–4] years of accounting experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle), Excel, and financial reporting; strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge: GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and internal controls.
