Job Opportunity: Procurement Manager
ORE Consulting is recruiting a Procurement Manager on behalf of a client to oversee and execute all procurement activities, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods, services, and works. The role requires a proactive professional capable of operating effectively in an upcountry environment while ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.
Role Overview

Work Schedule: Full time
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning & Strategy
- Develop, implement, and manage annual and project-based procurement plans.
- Forecast procurement needs based on operational requirements.
- Recommend cost-saving strategies and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Vendor Sourcing & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and pre-qualify suppliers to build a reliable vendor database.
- Conduct competitive sourcing, tendering, and quotation processes.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure value for money.
- Maintain transparent and professional supplier relationships.
Procurement Execution & Compliance
- Prepare and review purchase requisitions, bid documents, RFQs, LPOs, and contracts.
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services to support operational continuity.
- Monitor deliveries, quality of goods, and vendor performance.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain complete, organized records to ensure audit readiness and mitigate risks.
Inventory & Logistics Coordination
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper stock management.
- Track usage trends and coordinate reordering cycles to prevent stockouts.
- Support logistics arrangements for timely delivery to operational sites.
Reporting
- Prepare regular procurement reports including expenditure analysis and savings achieved.
- Participate in management meetings to provide procurement insights.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, agribusiness, mining, hospitality, or large-scale operations.
Certifications: Professional certification (CPSP, CIPS) is an added advantage.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ERP or procurement software is a plus.
Environment: Experience working in upcountry or remote environments is an added advantage.

- Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
- High attention to detail and integrity.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic work environments and tight timelines.
Additional Information
This role is based upcountry; accommodation and meals will be provided by the company.
Candidates must be willing to live and work on-site for extended periods.
The role may involve occasional travel to suppliers and headquarters.
