SBC Tanzania Limited is a well-established and progressing multinational company that supplies soft drinks products nationwide. We have plants in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha and Mbeya. Currently our Dar es Salaam Plant seeks to urgently recruit qualified, experienced, and hands-on-skilled personnel to fill the following position:
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Provide maintenance support
Support Production and Quality Assurance Departments in implementing various performance improvement activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan day to day Maintenance Activities including allocation of manpower, arrangement of spares and satisfactory completion of jobs in time.
- Support Production & Quality Assurance Departments in implementing various performance improvement activities.
- Assist to prepare an Annual Preventive Maintenance Plan and adhere to the plans.
- Assist in Review the current Preventive Maintenance Procedures and Schedules for all Bottling Lines, Utility Equipment’s, Off-site Equipment’s and implement necessary change with appropriate document numbers.
- Ensure all jobs mentioned in the Preventive Maintenance Schedules are completed and records properly documented.
- Achieve various Key Performance Indicators targeted for the Plant.
- Prepare the list of Annual Shutdown Jobs and the spares required for the Bottling Lines and Utility Equipment’s in time.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance Department for any quality issues and take necessary corrective actions to achieve Quality Goals.
- Prepare a Reorder Level and Reorder Quantity for various consumables used in the plant including bearings, lubricants etc.
- Impart training to subordinates as per plans.
- Ensure proper housekeeping at the place of work and at workshop.
- Prepare a Facility Maintenance Program and Schedule and ensure that this is maintained.
- Comply with company’s set values and standards.
- To observe in coordination with production in reducing the fulls rejection by proper serving of filling valves.
- Ensure that log books and check lists are maintained by filler, utility equipment and washer operators. To check them on a daily basis and give feedback.
- Other tasks as required by the job and/or management
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Reduction of machines and equipment’s time down.
- Tidiness of working surroundings.
- Timely support to users, measured in terms of minimum complaints.
- Compliance to maintenance schedules.
- Effective troubleshooting and repairs.
Entry Requirements:
Direct Entry
- Advanced Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 4 years working experience in similar responsibilities.
