Background

This role is within the Hospitality sector in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The company is seeking an HR Officer specializing in Compensation & Benefits to manage payroll and employee benefits administration.

Responsibilities

The HR Officer will be responsible for overseeing monthly payroll processing and employee benefits administration. This includes conducting salary benchmarking, market surveys, and compensation analysis. The role also involves assisting in the development and implementation of compensation and benefits policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Maintaining accurate HRIS records and preparing HR reports are key duties. Additionally, the HR Officer will support onboarding processes, handle employee HR queries, and assist with recruitment activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of three years of HR experience is necessary, with 1-2 years specifically in payroll or compensation & benefits. Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), MS Word, and HRIS systems is required. A high level of integrity and confidentiality is also a must.
