Job Overview

Head of Client Development &Placement 

Reporting to: Managing Director

Location: Bagamoyo

Role Summary Head of Client Development & Placement will source and engage potential clients for our employment promotion services, manage client relationships, and support the placement of candidates with employers. This role combines business development, client servicing and coordination of recruitment activities.

Key responsibilities:

Business development: Identify and approach potential clients (companies, SMEs, NGOs) who need recruitment and placement services.

Client outreach: Make cold calls, send proposals, emails and follow up to secure service agreements.

Client management: Build and maintain relationships with clients; act as the main contact for placement services.

Service delivery: Ensure client requirements are met and placements are successful; collect client feedback and follow up.

Reporting: Maintain a client pipeline and weekly activity reports on outreach, meetings, and placements.

Compliance: Ensure client agreements and candidate information are handled confidentially and in line with company policies.

Market intelligence: Track hiring trends and advise on competitive pricing and service offers.

Qualification and experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Business, HR, Marketing, Social Sciences or related field preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years in business development, recruitment, sales or customer service (experience with placement services will be an added advantage).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking with business decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to find leads, convert interest into agreements and close deals.
  • Able to manage multiple client relationships and provide timely reports.
  • Comfortable using MS Office, email and basic CRM/spreadsheet tracking.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, trustworthy and able to work independently.
