Sales & Operations is a strategic HR role with primary responsibility to enable business growth by attracting, onboarding, developing, and retaining high-performing sales and operations teams. The role combines HR functions—talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, HR strategy—and active support for client acquisition and sales enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Talent Acquisition & Resourcing (30%)
- Onboarding & Sales Enablement (15%)
- Ensure timely hiring and onboarding to minimize vacancy gaps; track time-to-hire metrics.
- Manage end-to-end hiring: job design, advertising, shortlisting, structured interviews, assessment centres, reference and background checks.
- Design and execute proactive recruitment strategies to attract high-quality sales, clearing, warehouse and operations talent.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline and candidate database for critical roles
- Outsourcing & Contractor Management (5%)
- Ensure outsourced staff adhere to Hakadosh standards and operational requirements while on site.
Employee Relations & Attendance
- Maintain employee records, contracts and ensure timely renewals.
- Monitor attendance, leave requests and timesheets for sales and operations staff.
- Support managers in resolving workplace issues, investigations and collecting written statements when needed.
- Work with Sales to support client pitches, prepare proposals, and manage logistics for demos, pilots and onboarding activities when required.
Performance Management & Training
- Coordinate probation reviews, performance appraisals and maintain appraisal records.
- Coordinate induction and role-specific training (product knowledge, sales techniques, Odoo use, operations procedures.
- Implement performance management frameworks for Sales & Operations (KPIs, targets, scorecards) ∙ Manage relationships with outsourcing suppliers ensuring contracts, timesheets and KPIs are enforced
Compensation & Compliance
- Ensure salary administration, payroll inputs and statutory contributions (NSSF, PAYE) are accurate and timely.
- Keep HR policies updated and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. ∙ Advise management on contractual matters and support disciplinary or grievance procedures. ∙ Advise on incentive and commission structures aligned to commercial goals.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness and ability to align HR initiatives to business objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with HR metrics and reporting.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS/ERP systems (Odoo desirable) and MS Office.
- Coaching and facilitation skills; ability to deliver training and workshops.
KPIs – Time to hire for Sales & Operations roles.
- Time-to-fill for critical Sales & Operations roles (target: < 30 days for key posts). ∙ New hires’ productivity ramp-up (percent completing onboarding and hitting targets within 90 days). ∙ Sales team retention rate and turnover reduction year-on-year.
- Percentage of completed performance reviews and development plans on schedule.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years supporting sales or operations teams in logistics, manufacturing, or trading environments.
- Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, learning & development, and employee relations.
- Practical exposure to sales enablement or business development support is strongly preferred.
