About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and inspiring Arts Teacher to join our team. This role could specialize in one area (e.g., Visual Arts) or involve teaching a combination of arts subjects like Drama, Music, or Art & Design, depending on the candidate's expertise and the school's needs. The ideal candidate will be able to nurture creativity and self-expression in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and practical lessons in one or more arts subjects (specify: e.g., Art, Drama, Music).
  • Develop students' technical skills, creativity, and critical appreciation of the arts.
  • Organize and manage practical projects, performances, exhibitions, and rehearsals.
  • Create a vibrant, stimulating, and safe learning environment in the art studio, drama room, or music room.
  • Manage and maintain art supplies, musical instruments, or drama equipment.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive, motivating feedback.
  • Lead or contribute to co-curricular arts activities, such as school plays, art clubs, or the school choir/orchestra.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, Drama, Music, Art Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed.) is preferred.
  • Demonstrable skills and a strong portfolio/background in your specific arts discipline.
  • Experience teaching your arts subject(s) to secondary school students.
  • Ability to manage a practical, workshop-style classroom effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and guide students.
  • Energized, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative arts community.
