On behalf of one of our Tanzania based clients, we are looking for a competent and experienced Social Investment & Livelihoods Coordinator.
Location: Project field areas/offices.

Job Summary.
The SI and Livelihoods Coordinator will be based in the project field areas/offices. The SI and Livelihoods Coordinator is expected to interface continuously with all departments within the Land and Social department, wider EACOP organization and Resettlement Implementation Contractor/s as necessary.

The SI and Livelihoods Coordinator will be responsible to:
• Having a detailed understanding of the Project SEI plan and RAPs
• Support engagement at the regional, district and ward level with government stakeholders, community representatives and NGO/CSOs, including coordinating engagements with Community Relations Coordinators (CRCs) with regards to social investment and livelihood restoration to ensure streamlined stakeholder engagement
• Act as in-field focal point for SEI & livelihood projects, providing key messages and recording any questions and concerns
• Facilitate SEI Committee due diligence and investigation activities through collecting any required community/business data
• Work actively with and support SEI & Livelihood implementation partners to deliver approved projects, ensuring that all communities/businesses identified as recipients of SEI support, participate in the implementation and delivery of these programmes
• Providing in-field support to identify independent third parties to assist with verifying suitability and viability of submitted community investment projects
• Monitor project implementation using SEI and livelihood restoration KPIs and follow up with recipient communities/businesses to validate and verify project progress, expenditure and any other key validation as required by SEI Coordinator
• Ensure schedule for SEI projects is respected, alert SEI Coordinator to any schedule and implementation risks observed
• Participating in monitoring the distribution of transitional livelihoods monthly and ensure all recipient PAHs have collected their food packages. Conduct follow up with PAHs who have trouble accessing their food packages
• Contributing to provision of technical support and advice for the delivery of the LRA programs identified in the Livelihoods Restoration Plans (LRP)
• Contributing to the resolution of grievances and disputes related SEI or the delivery of the LRP as requested by the Grievance Administrator
• Contributing to the identification of potential SEI or livelihood restoration implementation partners and providing feedback to Livelihood Restoration Lead and Land and SEI Coordinator.
• Providing inputs and supporting the implementation of livelihood restoration programmes, ensuring that all PAPs identified as recipients of livelihoods restoration support, participate in these programmes, identifying and reporting any reasons for non-participation
• Monitoring and supporting livelihoods restoration contractors to ensure the full and proper delivery of all identified support packages
• Implementing monitoring activities for all livelihoods restoration tasks and KPIs
• Participating in weekly progress calls with livelihood restoration implementation partners and review field progress reports Submitting daily and weekly reporting as determined by Livelihood Restoration Lead and SEI Coordinator.

Accountabilities
She/he is responsible for supporting the effective identification and delivery of appropriate SEI, livelihood restoration programmes and transitional support
She/He will ensure the SEI programmes and livelihood restoration strategies are implemented in compliance with IFC Performance and Project standard.

Qualifications/Experience required
• A Degree in agriculture and livestock production, agricultural economics, agronomy, agribusiness, fisheries management, social sciences, social development, environmental sciences or a related discipline, required
• 10 years of professional experience working on community development, agricultural development, livestock management or rural development within rural communities in Tanzania required
• Previous experience or familiarity with international financing standards requirements for livelihood restoration and Knowledge in financial records management preferred
• Knowledge and pervious experience in enterprise development preferred
• Professional experience working with private sector/industry on delivery of social investment or livelihood restoration programmes required by investors preferred
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain good relations with stakeholders including, local communities and local government authorities
• Proven ability to multitask and work independently
• Proven ability to write clear and concise reports and experiencing identifying project risks.
• Willingness to be based and work in the field is a prerequisite
• Excellent and proven data management skills and attention to detail required
• Excellent computer and analytical skills required
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Swahili essential
