Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Medical Doctor to provide high-quality primary healthcare services while also serving as the Facility In-Charge of our newly established health center.

The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical care, overall management of facility operations, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and ensuring efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive out and Inpatient medical care to patients of all age groups.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Conduct physical examinations and order appropriate investigations.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with national guidelines.
  • Provide minor emergency care and stabilize patients before referral when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Promote preventive healthcare, health education, and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure infection prevention and control standards are maintained.
  • Refer patients appropriately to higher-level facilities when required.

Administrative & Management Responsibilities (Facility In-Charge Role)

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the health center.
  • Supervise and coordinate all staff (nurses, lab technicians, pharmacy staff, and support staff).
  • Develop duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and quality standards.
  • Manage procurement of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory and prevent stock-outs of essential supplies.
  • Oversee financial operations in collaboration with management (billing, revenue monitoring, reporting).
  • Handle patient complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain facility infrastructure and ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Prepare monthly performance and operational reports.
  • Liaise with local health authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Support business development and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS / MD degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (primary care preferred).
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or administrative role is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Basic financial and administrative management knowledge.
  • Computer literacy (EMR systems, MS Office, Excel).
