Duties and Responsibilities

  • Publicizing institution’s activities;
  • Promoting and maintaining positive image of the organization;
  • Gathering and documenting organization events;
  • Ensuring and implementing best practices in areas of work specialization;
  • Participating in the preparation of media outlet materials;
  • Maintaining close working relationship with the media;
  • Organizing press conferences;
  • Participating in preparation of reports related to crisis management;
  • Analyzing media coverage and tracking emerging issues relating to the organization;
  • Preparing and submit periodic reports timely;
  • Participating in preparation of unit budget;
  • Participating in developing and implementation of corporate communication manual and guidelines;
  • Coordinating protocol courtesies and reception to executive official visitors;
  • Participating in developing and implementing information dissemination strategies and plans;
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders;
  • Participating in preparation of speeches for executives; and
  • Performing any other duties related to the field as may be assigned by superior.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in either of the following fields; Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, Business Communication, International Relations or equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution.
  • Age limit: not above 30 years of age.
