Role Overview:
Business Development Officer II (SCGS)
The core mission of this role is to act as the bridge between TADB and Partner Financial Institutions (PFIs) like commercial and community banks. You will manage the guarantee portfolio that provides up to 50% cash cover for loans extended to smallholder farmers and agribusinesses.
1. Key Responsibility Areas
- Credit Risk Analysis: Performing deep due diligence on guarantee requests to ensure business viability and repayment capacity.
- PFI Relationship Management: Serving as the primary contact for partner banks, providing them with technical assistance and capacity building.
- Claims & Recovery: Validating payout claims when defaults occur and working with banks on “turnaround strategies” for struggling borrowers.
- Product Innovation: Identifying gaps in the market to design new Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) guarantee products.
2. Candidate Profile: Requirements & Skills
TADB is looking for a blend of financial analytical skills and a deep heart for rural development.
