Objective of the Role:

To support the Production Manager in overseeing greenhouse and crop maintenance operations, ensuring optimal crop performance, compliance with company standards, effective labour coordination, and accurate production reporting. The role requires a proactive, hands-on professional who can maintain operational discipline and support continuous improvement within a structured production environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in greenhouse or crop production environments.
  • Strong understanding of controlled-environment crop production principles and hygiene standards.
  • Proven supervisory experience with the ability to coordinate labour effectively and maintain high operational standards.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Swahili.
  • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS Office and production data systems.

* Coordinate daily crop maintenance and greenhouse operations to ensure consistent plant performance and production efficiency. * Coordinate preparation of growing area (greenhouse structure and growing media), and transition activities in line with approved production plans. * Monitor crop health and performance, identifying risks and escalating issues in a timely manner. * Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and internal operational protocols at all times. * Conduct routine inspections across crop stages and maintain accurate production and performance records. * Support labour planning, including duty scheduling, leave planning, and task allocation to ensure continuous operations. * Monitor facility condition and report maintenance requirements to relevant departments. * Accurately capture production data within internal management systems.
