What you’ll do
Role purpose:
Design, maintain, and oversee the operation of corporate data networks and distribution channels to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
Manage access control by ensuring third parties, users, and partners are granted appropriate access to internal systems, while safeguarding systems from default exposure to the internet.
Support the integration, configuration, and ongoing management of core IT services to ensure seamless functionality and alignment with business objectives.
Ensure the security of the network estate by implementing comprehensive cybersecurity controls across the network domain and overseeing all integrated services to ensure full compliance with established security standards
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
IP Networks Planning and Operation: Manage the IP network domain to ensure high availability, meet KPI targets, and perform all necessary maintenance. Keep network schematics and configurations current with recommended software versions, while aligning architecture with future business needs and maintaining flexibility
Network Security:
Implement network security controls in compliance with Vodafone CSB and other standards. Apply patches and vulnerability fixes promptly to ensure continuous protection. Maintain up-to-date firewalls and IDS/IPS with relevant policies to safeguard the network
SLA Management:
Manage Service Level Agreements to ensure efficient delivery of network availability and KPI targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IP network services -from corporate to core to support overall business objectives
BCM / DRP: Ensure operational alignment and adherence to the company BCM / DRP policy and strategy

Must have technical/professional qualifications:
- University Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Certifications in IP related fields particularly CCNA, CCNP, HCIA, JNCIA,
- Knowledge of mobile telecommunications network architectures/ technologies
- At least 3 years of experience in IP Networks
- Certification in network Security field, SNRS, SNPA, CISSP
- Hands-on experience with multiple suppliers/vendors/partners such as Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Fortinet, Nokia etc
