Job Purpose
To ensure proper control of Packing materials, reconciliation of packing materials, packing materials data and documentation at the packing station.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure proper handling, control and documentation of packing materials as recommended to reduce running costs.
- Ensure availability of packing materials per demand/SKU.
- Drawing of packing materials at stores i.e. drawing of packing materials shall depend on daily pack plan and on Friday drawing shall depend on weekend pack plan for easy stock control.
- To organize packing material truck for collection at stores
- Weighing of packing materials at stores i.e. all reels must be weighed at stores before shifted to packing station store. Capturing of reels weight must be done after getting total weight measured from store.
- Record issued packing material per SKU i.e. proper issuing and maintain minimum stock of materials at production line for easy stock control. All materials(reels) when issued to be weighed and data recorded for end shift reconciliation.
- Proper handling of reject packing materials by recording reasons for deviation and filing forms for reject return process in weekly basis.
- physical counting of bags during drawing to verify bags quantity.
- Capture received packing material data on receiving book.
- Packing material reconciliation in 8hrs and weekly every Friday morning.
- Arrange packing materials per SKU’s.
- Maintain proper Housekeeping and 5s with food safety and quality standard at packing material storage area.
- Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.
- If any situation that is non- conforming to required standards, unsafe, or unhealthy, or anything that threatens to impact on the environment comes to your attention, report this to your superior using the existing incident report system.
- Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001/ISO 22000 to achieve quality and food safety standards.
- Carries out any other requested duties relating to the plant.
Job Qualification and Experience
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement or related.
- 1+year of working experience in data capture or records management
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP)
Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on Permanent Contract.
