Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in financial analysis, tax compliance, and the use of accounting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and record daily accounting transactions in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
  • Handle payroll processing and vendor payments, ensuring compliance with all internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper and timely filing of statutory returns (e.g., VAT, PAYE, NSSF).
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary financial documentation.
  • Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and financial forecasting.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or related ERP systems).
  • Strong understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and financial regulations.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
