A leading company in Tanzania that specializes in Plumbing Contracting, Sanitation, and Fire Prevention & Protection Systems is hiring a Quantity Surveyor. The role is based in Dar Es Salaam, with the possibility of travel to projects in Tanzania and Zanzibar. The deadline to apply is

Responsibilities
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Preparing cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents.
- Conducting site measurements, valuations, and material quantity take-offs.
- Monitoring project costs and budgets.
- Preparing interim and final payment certificates.
- Evaluating subcontractor quotations and claims.
- Assisting with contract administration and variations.
- Providing cost-related data and financial forecasts for project planning.
- Ensuring compliance with AQRB, company, and client standards.
- Coordinating with site teams, consultants, and clients.
- Preparing as-built drawings and documentation as needed.
- Providing regular updates and reports to the Managing Director.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria
- Be registered with the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) in Tanzania.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Building Economics or a related field.
- Be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
- Possess strong knowledge of construction contracts, FIDIC conditions, and local building regulations.
- Have excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in plumbing and fire-fighting is considered a plus, as is a degree or certification in Project Management.
