Kamaka Company Limited is seeking a highly disciplined and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for our BRC, Nail & Wire Products Factory in Tanzania.
The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with Tanzania Labour Laws, OSHA, NSSF/PSSSF, NHIF, and WCF regulations while building a productive, motivated, and compliant workforce that supports our manufacturing goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruitment & Workforce Planning – Hire and manage factory staff including operators, welders, and supervisors; plan manpower for shifts and production peaks.
* HR Compliance – Ensure registration and monthly compliance with NSSF/PSSSF, NHIF, WCF, and PAYE; prepare for inspections and audits.
* Attendance & Payroll Management – Supervise biometric attendance, overtime, and payroll inputs while ensuring wage compliance.
* Employee Relations & Discipline – Maintain workplace discipline, handle grievances, and manage labour relations.
* Health & Safety (OSHA) – Enforce safety standards, conduct training, manage PPE distribution, and ensure zero violations.
* Training & Development – Conduct induction and technical training to upskill staff and supervisors.
* Performance Management – Set KPIs, monitor performance, and recommend promotions or corrective actions.
* Administration & Welfare – Manage employee records, uniforms, canteen, sanitation, and exit procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in HRM, Public Administration, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration.
• Additional certification in Tanzania Labour Law is an added advantage.
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years in HR within a manufacturing or industrial setup.
• Experience in steel, nail, wire, or BRC production preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
• Strong understanding of Tanzania Labour Law, OSHA, NSSF, PSSSF, NHIF, WCF.
• Excellent communication (English & Swahili), leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
• Highly organized, honest, and able to manage a large shift-based workforce.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• 100% statutory compliance (NSSF, NHIF, WCF, OSHA).
• Reduced absenteeism and disciplinary cases.
• Timely payroll and submissions.
• Improved workforce productivity and retention.
