Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, processing, and dispatch of Agriculture Commodities. The role ensures optimal inventory management, maintains product quality, and upholds safety and hygiene standards throughout all warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, cleaning, grading, bagging, and dispatching Agriculture Commodities.
- Ensure compliance with storage conditions appropriate for Agriculture Commodities (e.g., temperature, moisture, pest control).
- Maintain accurate stock records and oversee physical stock counts.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse layout for efficient flow of materials and space utilization.
Inventory & Quality Control
- Track inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software.
- Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) and first-expired, first-out (FEFO) systems.
- Ensure regular inspection and fumigation to prevent pest infestations
- Coordinate with Quality Control officers to maintain grain standards and handle quality claims.
Staff Supervision
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, loaders, forklift operators, and cleaners.
- Develop shift schedules and allocate labor according to workload demands.
- Enforce compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
Logistics & Coordination
- Liaise with procurement, production, and logistics teams for smooth movement of goods.
- Coordinate with transporters for inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Prepare dispatch plans and verify documentation (delivery notes, weighbridge slips, etc.).
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports (stock balances, movements, losses, etc.).
- Maintain records for audit, certification, and traceability purposes.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing materials are properly documented.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement pest management and sanitation programs.
- Maintain proper handling and stacking practices to prevent damage or contamination.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the agricultural commodities or pulses sector.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is an added advantage.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Stock accuracy rate (target: 98%+).

- Staff productivity and safety compliance.
