Job Summary:
The Store Keeper is responsible for the safe, organized, and efficient storage and handling of Agriculture Commodities within the warehouse. This role ensures proper receipt, storage, protection, and dispatch of goods while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Inspection
- Receive pulses and verify quantities and conditions against delivery documents.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team to ensure all incoming Agriculture Commodities meet required standards.
- Record all received goods accurately in stock records or inventory systems.
Storage & Handling
- Arrange and store Agriculture Commodities in designated areas according to product type, grade, and batch.
- Ensure warehouse space is efficiently utilized and goods are properly labeled for traceability.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper ventilation in storage areas to prevent spoilage or contamination.
Dispatch & Loading
- Prepare and organize pulses for dispatch according to delivery orders or export schedules.
- Supervise loading operations to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Verify all dispatch documentation (weighbridge tickets, delivery notes, and gate passes).
Inventory & Record Management
- Maintain up-to-date stock records and reconcile them with physical counts.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist in preparing daily or weekly warehouse activity reports.
Safety & Maintenance
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
- Monitor pest control measures e.g, Fumigation and warehouse equipment maintenance.
- Report any damage, spillage, or irregularities immediately to management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Agriculture, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in pulses, grains, or food commodities.
- Good understanding of inventory control and record-keeping procedures.
- Basic computer skills (Excel or warehouse management systems).
- Physical fitness and ability to supervise manual handling operations.

- Good communication and teamwork
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily in the warehouse and loading/unloading in field areas.
- May require long hours or weekend work during harvest and export seasons.
- Must adhere to company safety and hygiene policies.
- May be assigned to another related role, or post/location at any time during the contract period.
