Senior Actuarial Analyst

(Kenbright Tanzania)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate actuarial models for pricing, reserving, risk management and financial forecasting.
  • Manage a portfolio of client assignments across IFRS 17, reserving, pricing, capital management and strategic projects.
  • Conduct actuarial data analysis and prepare valuation and financial review reports.
  • Review work produced by Actuarial Analysts and provide technical guidance.
  • Lead projects, manage timelines and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Engage with clients, present findings and contribute to building strong client relationships.
  • Stay current with actuarial standards, methodologies and industry developments.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field.
  • At least 5 actuarial examination papers completed.
  • 3-6 years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably in consulting.
  • Experience in actuarial modelling, analysis and project management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, R, SAS, Prophet or other actuarial tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
