Background

HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee the company’s accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and support strategic financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial performance, providing insights to management.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Strengthen internal controls and recommend process improvements.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
