CMTL Group Ltd is a fast-growing logistics and transportation company providing transport, distribution, warehousing, and clearing & forwarding services across Tanzania and the region. We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and results-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities or duties

Prepare financial reports, conduct financial analysis, and provide management reporting. Ensure compliance with taxation requirements, statutory regulations, audits, and internal controls. Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Oversee transport costing, route profitability analysis, and fleet cost management. Lead finance teams and provide strategic financial support to the business.

Qualifications or requirements 

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (BA Accounting), Accounting and Finance, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), or a related qualification from a recognized institution.

Added Advantage: CPA (T), ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification. Advanced training in financial modelling or data analysis. Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems. Mandatory experience working in a logistics company. Must be a Tanzanian citizen.

Experience needed

Candidates must have at least two (2) years of accounting experience in the logistics sector and a minimum of four (4) years of total experience in a logistics company.
