Background

The Farm of Dreams Lodge is a hospitality establishment located in Karatu, Tanzania, offering accommodation and tourism services within the Northern Tanzania safari circuit. The lodge is currently seeking to recruit a qualified and customer-focused Receptionist to support front office operations and ensure excellent guest experience and smooth day-to-day reception services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Provide guests with information about lodge facilities and services.
  • Handle billing, payments, and issue receipts.
  • Prepare daily occupancy and sales reports.
  • Participate in room inspections before guest check-in.
  • Professionally answer all internal and external company phone calls.
  • Build strong relationships with all departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Keep the reception area clean and organized.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualification and Experience

  • A Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with booking or reservation systems.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to handle money responsibly.
  • High standards of personal hygiene and neat appearance.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A polite and patient personality.
  • Preferred age between 25 and 35 years.
