Restless Development Tanzania, in collaboration with UNFPA, is empowering youth-led Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to effectively analyze and advocate for the implementation of youth-related policies, strategies, and guidelines in Tanzania. As part of this initiative, Restless Development Tanzania seeks a qualified consultant to facilitate capacity-building training sessions for youth-led CSOs across the country.  

Objective:  

To design and deliver three comprehensive training sessions for 20 youth-led CSOs (1 to 2 representatives per CSO) on how to analyze existing youth-related policies, strategies, and guidelines, and develop advocacy strategies to promote their effective implementation in Tanzania.  

Scope of work:  

Training design and preparation:  

  • Developing detailed training modules and materials tailored to the needs of youth-led CSOs in relation to the training focus above.  
  • Preparing training agendas, session plans, and participant materials.  

Training delivery:

  • Facilitating three interactive training sessions scheduled from 18th to 20th August 2025 in Dodoma (venue to be communicated later).  
  • Ensuring active participation, engagement, and capacity building of all participants.  

Reporting and follow-up: 

  • Providing a comprehensive training report, including participant feedback, key outcomes, and recommendations for future actions.  
  • Offering post-training support or guidance if required.  

Deliverables:

  • Detailed training plan and materials (by 13th August 2025).  
  • Facilitation of the three-days training sessions (18-20th August, 2025).  
  • Comprehensive training report summarizing activities, participant feedback, and recommendations (within 7 days after conducting the three-days training).  

Duration and place of work:

Timeline:

The consultancy will be conducted from 10th August 2025 to 28th August 2025, including preparation, training facilitation, and reporting.  

Location:

Dodoma, Tanzania. ( Venue details will be communicated later)

Qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience in policy analysis, youth empowerment, and capacity-building training.  
  • Strong facilitation and training skills.  
  • Familiarity with Tanzania’s youth policies, strategies, and advocacy landscape.  
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate logistical arrangements effectively.  

Financial arrangements:  

  • Restless Development Tanzania will cover all costs related to participant accommodation, transportation, meals, and training logistics.  
  • The consultant will cover his/her own costs, including travel to Dodoma, accommodation, and other personal expenses, which should be factored in the consultancy fee.
