JOB PURPOSE

A growing food processing company building Tanzania's most efficient and trusted food value network, connecting thousands of farmers and aggregators.

We are looking for a highly organized, analytical, and proactive Procurement Officer to strengthen our sourcing operations and help ensure a reliable supply of quality products. DO NOT APPLY, IF you are not a committed individual willing to go the extra mile and willing to work outside 9am – 5pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase livestock, meat products, and other procurement items.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, aggregators, suppliers, and processors.
• Negotiate competitive prices and favourable purchasing terms.
• Monitor market prices, supply trends, and product availability.
• Coordinate procurement plans with production, sales, and logistics teams.

Requirements

• Skills or experience in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Contract Type: Three-month probationary contract, followed by a one-year renewable contract upon successful completion of probation.
