DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, prepare, and deliver learner-centered Physics and Mathematics lessons for O-Level (CSEE) and A-Level (ACSEE) in line with the current NECTA syllabus.
• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources aligned with NECTA learning outcomes and examination formats.
• Use effective teaching strategies (practical demonstrations, problem-solving, experiments, and ICT where appropriate) to improve conceptual understanding.
• Prepare, administer, and mark assessments; maintain accurate student performance records and provide timely feedback to learners and parents/guardians where required.
• Support examination preparation through revision programs, remedial sessions, and targeted interventions to improve performance.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment consistent with school policies and Tanzanian education standards.
• Participate in departmental planning, academic meetings, clubs/competitions (e.g., science and mathematics clubs), and other school activities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Diploma/ Degree in Education with Physics/Mathematics OR any of the qualifications listed below (teaching qualification is an added advantage).

Proven experience teaching NECTA curriculum at O-Level and/or A-Level with demonstrated learner outcomes is an added advantage.

Strong mastery of Physics and Mathematics content, lesson planning, and assessment practices.

Ability to simplify complex concepts and build strong problem-solving skills among learners.

Excellent communication skills (English and/or Swahili), professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethics.

Willingness to work under minimal supervision and meet urgent timelines.
