Mkulazi Holding Company Limited (MHCL) is inviting qualified Tanzanians to apply for the position of Pan Boiler. The successful candidates will report to the Senior Pan Boiler and will be responsible for operating vacuum pans and supporting sugar crystallization processes to ensure consistent production of high-quality sugar.

The role requires practical experience in sugar boiling operations, strong attention to process parameters, and the ability to monitor and adjust boiling conditions to achieve optimal crystal formation and sugar recovery. The selected candidates will work closely with control room and laboratory teams to ensure efficient and stable production.

Responsibilities or duties

• Operating vacuum pans and associated equipment during sugar boiling processes
• Monitoring pan pressure, temperature, brix, and purity for proper crystallization
• Controlling feed of massecuite, syrup, and related materials according to procedures
• Adjusting boiling parameters to ensure optimal grain development and sugar recovery
• Monitoring vacuum pumps, condensers, and auxiliary equipment performance
• Taking pan samples and conducting basic field tests to assess crystallization progress
• Collaborating with laboratory and process teams for quality control and adjustments
• Maintaining accurate records of boiling cycles, batches, and equipment readings
• Cleaning and maintaining vacuum pans, seed magma mixers, and related equipment
• Observing safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
• Communicating with control room and field staff for coordinated operations
• Assisting in troubleshooting pan-related operational issues
• Participating in routine and preventive maintenance of pan boiling equipment
• Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Minimum of Form IV certificate
• Good understanding of sugar boiling processes and crystallization principles
• Ability to operate vacuum pans and monitor process variables effectively
• Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness skills

Experience needed

• At least three (3) years working experience in sugar boiling or crystallization operations
• Experience in related industrial processing environments will be an added advantage
• Possession of National Sugar Institute (NSI) Certificate will be an added advantage
